School's Out!!!!!!

We had a real date night last night with dinner and the MoMA, and we're leaving Monday for 3 days in the Catskills. Life is so good. Why is it so good? Because D finished finals Thursday, which means his 1L year is over and done. Hallelujah. Summer is here!

Last summer was a long 4 months of being excited for change but apprehensive about New York because it's, well, New York, and law school is hard, and it was one of those big steps in life where we really may have gone the wrong direction. But I think it's safe to say that this new phase has fit us very well. The last 9 months have gone incredibly fast, and now we have a whole summer ahead of us to do all sorts of fun things that we haven't made it to yet.

Congratulations D on finishing the first and hardest year of this incredibly long and overly expensive education process. You worked really hard and deserve every bit of celebration we've been enjoying, and hopefully some A's...
