We have had electricity out 2 of the past 3 days, and now the internet is having connection problems, but I finally got pictures from my camera to the computer, so I am determined to post a few. Kampala is such a colorful city, so there is always a lot to look at when walking or driving around, and these pictures are just some of the things we've seen.
It rains about every other day, always between 1:30 and 2. This day we had especially heavy rain that almost flooded the singles apartment. |
This is our friend Pete. He likes to take pictures, but Dane took this one of him to show how fun it is to ride the Matatus. |
Tea fields we hiked to during a visit to Ssezebwa Falls. |
Children carrying sticks. It is interesting the contrast between urban and rural lifestyles here. Things become very dated very quickly. |
We spent Saturday afternoon at Ssezebwa Falls. Too bad so much of the water here has diseases in it or we might have gone swimming. |
