We are coming home

After a long summer, we are heading home today, and I am honestly perfectly content with the idea of spending a few months back in Provo doing something more routine. We had a great send off here between the talent show with the families and the party held by the Honorable Annette (title of parliament members here) last night with dancing and African food, but it is weird with half of everyone already gone, and now it just feels like waiting for our turn. I think Africa was something different than I was expecting, but I am glad that I made this trip now and not 1 or 2 years ago like I had intended because I think my perspective on development, poverty, and culture is that much more able to internalize what we have seen. It may be awhile before we return to Uganda, or even Africa for that matter, but there is something unique here that we will have to revisit later.
