When I started working in a New York City skyscraper, I wondered if we would ever have window washers come up and clean our windows on one of those little, rickety metal landings. It's so iconic. I hoped I'd get to see it. But then I looked down from our windows and realized how high up we are. The idea of the elevator breaking and plummeting to the basement someday has crossed my mind, and it is not pleasant. That is how high we are. So I figured they wouldn't subject window washers to come all the way up to us.
But today they came. He was washing the side of the building with all the conference rooms, so I almost missed it, but I caught a glimpse as I walked in. I fully appreciated my big city moment, had no one to share it with, and then started work.
So cool! Thanks for sharing!
