Blessed are the weak of sight, for they shall receive LASIK

After hearing that I am lame for not posting more than once a month, I came to realize that there is more in life worth writing than treks to Mt. Everest, and I will try to do better at recording the meaningless and mundane.

However this entry is about my recent LASIK experience, so forgive my hypocrisy. That's right, I now have 20/20 vision without glasses or contacts. Even though I'm pretty dependent on eye drops for the next month, the knowledge that I will no longer have to neurotically worry about always having contact solution on planes, fear losing a contact when I am swimming, or dread the feeling of dried-out contacts when I accidentally take naps in them is just too sweet. I never thought that I would get LASIK at my age or with my financial status, but I'm glad that Dane realized otherwise.

This is the last photograph taken of me in the last pair of glasses I will ever own (at least until I get old).
