After 2 full days of loading boxes, unloading boxes, taking stuff out of boxes, and cramming that stuff into every possible crevice, we have officially moved in to our little New York studio. We had to get pretty creative with our space and realize a few more things we could give up, but I am already attached to our little corner of Manhattan.

The view from our living room. We've been told we're lucky we have a street view. |
|
Our kitchen/living room with the pile of junk we need to get rid of. |
|
The flowers Dane got me for our anniversary. He got them before our stuff arrived, so we have been using a little trash can as the vase. Necessity truly is the mother of invention. |
|
Our very white, very clean bathroom. It was the one room that was bigger than I thought. |
We have a bedroom too that's about the same size as the kitchen/living room, but we're still figuring out how to organize our clothes so its nothing special just yet.
Sad to say, but with all the work to do here, I really haven't gotten out into the city yet except for a few trips to the store, but today we'll probably take a walk down to Central Park, which is only 10 blocks down from us.
So fun to see your space. What an adventure! Blog lots, okay?
ReplyDeleteYour little piece of New York is certainly looking like home. By the way, that is not your sewing machine is it amongst those things you plan on getting rid of?
ReplyDeleteBrittany - I love it ! I wanted to catch you and give you a hug before you left, but I didn't get a chance. Good luck in NY ! I cant' wait to read about the adventures you have !
